Our venture wants to encourage Bamboo farming and extract Silica from it. This calls for support in buying seedlings, planting Bamboo in forests on farms, and training to ensure sustained supply. We want to make natural silicone alternatives for our hair and skin care products and hope to sell the excess silica to others who could be interested in the market. Currently, there is no available information on people extracting silica from Bamboo in Kenya. The bamboo silica extraction process requires a muffle furnace that is quite expensive to run and purchase, but through partnerships, we have been able to access one in someone’s facility.
