HBV is a social enterprise in Kenya focusing on the manufacture and marketing of forest-based essential oils for the skin care industry. We use an innovative 3Bs model (Biodiversity, Business, and Bread)that balances conservation, profit, and livelihoods. We have created significant income opportunities for women and youth while motivating local people to participate in the conservation effort.
