The Mt Kenya Innovation week 1.0 featured a contest in innovation (167 submissions) and a hackathon (103 submissions), out of which 21 were shortlisted and the best five were selected and awarded. Apart from the competition, the week also saw that over 1000 women and youth were trained in various fields including, Business Canvas, Design Thinking, Digital Marketing and basic cash flow.
