Moto feeds is a company working with local pastoralists communities to prevent the overgrazing of grasslands which leads to soil degradation. We achieve our goals by providing better fodder solutions and tree seedlings to the communities.
Moto Feeds has recently worked with the Maasai community and planted boma Rhodes and trees on their community land. They did 200 acres of Boma Rhodes Gras and 30 acres for trees. During the recent drought period, they had enough fodder for their livestock and didn’t have to move to look for pasture as it had been their norm. Moto Feeds have also managed to discourage grazing in the MAU forest by the neighboring pastoralists since the fodder they now produce is sufficient.
