Transfo Green World: Environmental Resilience from the Ground Up

In a world increasingly shaped by the consequences of climate change, the work ofenterprises like Transfo Green World has never been more important. Led by Ronald Keter,Transfo Green World is a Nakuru-based enterprise delivering environmental resiliencesolutions across multiple fronts: wetland and water catchment conservation andrehabilitation, climate-smart agriculture and agroforestry, clean energy through improvedcookstoves and biogas, and community training in environmental stewardship. Byaddressing restoration, energy and livelihoods together, Ronald and his team are building acomprehensive response to some of the most pressing challenges facing Kenya's naturalenvironment.
What sets Transfo Green World apart is the breadth of the communities it serves. Theirwork reaches smallholder farmers seeking climate-resilient farming approaches, youth and
women's groups engaged in green enterprises, schools and community institutionsbuilding environmental awareness, county governments, development partners and localcommunities most exposed to climate impacts. This multi-layered approach reflects a clearunderstanding that sustainable environmental change requires working with people atevery level, from the household to the institution.
Transfo Green World is one of 26 enterprises participating in the PINCA-Y 2026 cohort, aprogram implemented by Mt Kenya Hub with support from DanChurchAid Kenya. Theprogram champions youth-led enterprises working at the intersection of ecologicalrestoration and the circular economy, and Transfo Green World is a powerful embodimentof that mission.
